Inspector Robert Skomra, commander of the 2nd Precinct, and members of his team will give an update on police initiatives, plans for burglary suppression and Neighborhood Policing Plans in the precinct.

Five of the precinct’s 19 neighborhoods are in The Bridge’s coverage area: Como, Marcy Holmes, Nicollet Island/East Bank, Prospect Park/East River Road and the University of Minnesota.

The update takes place 10 a.m.–noon at the Aveda Institute, 400 Central Ave NE. Council Members Cam Gordon and Diane Hofstede are expected to attend.
