Pedal Indoor Cycling grand opening — Feb. 11–16
The bitter cold weather makes the grand opening of Pedal Indoor Cycling timely; the new business at 21 NE Fifth St. in Old St. Anthony bills itself as “first solely dedicated indoor cycling studio” in the state.
Owned by Minneapolis resident Maryjo Hackett, the independent studio offers several types of “spinning” classes — named roadtrip, endurance, strong, yoga and tweens (for older kids) — taught by well-qualified instructors. Riders of all levels can get a cardio workout while pedaling to “uplifting music,” according to the Pedals website.
Pedals opened its doors Feb. 3, and during grand opening week, they’ll be giving away two free six-month passes; winners will be announced at a grand opening party at the studio on Saturday, Feb. 16, 7–9 p.m. The event will include complimentary wine, beer, soft drinks and appetizers.
There is no membership fee at Pedals; spinners can buy one at a time or a pass.
