Preventing youth violence meeting — Jan. 22, 7 p.m.
Ward Two Councilmember Cam Gordon will host a roundtable discussion on preventing youth violence in Minneapolis on Tuesday, Jan. 22, 7–9 p.m. at Matthews Park Center, East 24th Street and 28th Avenue South.
For the past year, Gordon and the Youth Violence Prevention Steering Committee have been working to find ways to prevent youth violence; the result is the report “Blueprint for Action: Preventing Youth Violence in Minneapolis.”
The report, available here key goals and offers recommendations “to solve one of the most tragic and tenacious problems facing our city,” states Gordon in a release.
Minneapolis Commissioner of Health Gretchen Musicant and others will join Gordon for the discussion. All are welcome.
