The Red Balloon and White Mane at Oak Street Cinema—Dec. 21-30
The Minnesota Film Arts and the Oak Street Cinema will host a double feature of The Red Balloon and White Mane, two classic children’s features written and directed by Albert Lamorisse. Both films have been digitally restored.
The Red Balloon
The classic French short about a little boy and a red balloon that become quite literally inseparable, won the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival in 1956.
White Mane
This tale of a boy and his stallion friend, set in a different region of France, has entertained generations of children.
