State senators host discussion on affordable health care — Tuesday, Dec. 4
On the evening of Tuesday, Dec. 4, the Minnesota Senate Health, Housing and Family Security Committee hopes to hear from local business owners, families and other community members — especially those that are uninsured — about the cost of and access to health care.
Sen. Patricia Torres Ray, the vice-chair to the committee who represents part of South Minneapolis, states in a release that she is working with Sen. John Marty on legislation to provide affordable health care to all Minnesotans. “We hope that concerned citizens, business representatives, and members of the medical community will attend this public meeting and will take this opportunity to share their concerns and suggestions,” she said.
The public hearing will be held at United Methodist Church,
3701 E. 50th St., 6–8 p.m. Anyone interested in testifying may contact Sen. Marty’s office at 651-296-5712.
