Prospect Park cleanup — Saturday, Sept. 29 (volunteers needed)
Volunteers from the Prospect Park/East River Road Improvement Association (PPERRIA) will pick up difficult-to-dispose-of items on Saturday, Sept. 29, 9 a.m.–12 noon.
Items that may be left are restricted to old tires, metal items, stone, concrete and brush (which need not be bundled & tied). Items should be at the curb by 9 a.m.
PPERRIA needs at least 40 volunteers to make the effort successful; those interested should meet at 1933 E. River Parkway for breakfast at 8:30 a.m. Trucks leave at 9 a.m., and the work should be finished by noon.
