Minnesota Orchestra to perform free concert on Northrop Plaza — Wednesday, Sept. 12
The Minnesota orchestra and conductor Sarah Hatsuko Hicks will kick off the 2007–2008 season with a free concert on the Northrop Plaza at noon on Wednesday, Sept. 12. The program will include pieces by Smetana, Strauss, Handel, Copland and Macini and will conclude with Tchaikovsky’s triumphant 1812 Overture.
Northrop Plaza is located at 84 SE Church St. on the univerity’s east bank campus, on the north side of Washington Avenue Southeast, just east of the Washington Avenue bridge.
