Reuse of Washburn 'A' Mill grain elevators public meeting — Monday, Aug. 27
The Minnesota Historical Society will host a community meeting at the Mill City Museum, 704 S. Second St., on Monday, Aug. 27 to present to the public the study process and ideas for reuse of the currently vacant grain elevators that stand adjacent to the museum along West River Parkway.
The society and museum are sponsoring a reuse study and plan for the grain elevator structures, which are part of Washburn “A” Mill complex, a National Historic Landmark. The preservation consultant team studying the potential for reuse will give a presentation of the study process and the ideas for reuse being generated through an intensive interview phase of the project. They will also be asking for input and ideas from the public about reuse of the vacant structures.
