What West Bank were you thinking of?
I don’t even know where to start with this one. The West Bank has ALWAYS been an immigrant community; check your local resources. The stores on the West Bank are amazing, and diversity is what has historically made this neighborhood such a fun place to dine and shop. If you want boring, run-of-the-mill shops with fewer immigrants, go to the suburbs and enjoy the dependability and safety of a chain store.
Submitted online in response to a March letter that described the West Bank as a “government-subsidized ghetto” and recommended the dispersal of the largely immigrant population, for the better of both the immigrants and the “more stores, cafes, bars and other… businesses [that] will pop up if the population changes.”
