NorthEast Night features doggie parade — Friday, Aug. 3

Northeast Minneapolis will go to the dogs, for at least one night. Friday, Aug. 3, the NorthEast Minneapolis Business Association (NEBA) will host its monthly NorthEast Night, this month with a parade for dogs and owners.
Before the parade everyone, is invited to a picnic and a visit to Ard Godfrey house at 5 p.m., in Chute Square, 244 SE Bank St. Participants in the parade will meet at 6 p.m. in Chute Square. The parade will begin at 6:15 p.m. and go through the business district. Pet owners are encouraged to dress up their dogs in costumes to add more fun to the event.
Select NorthEast establishments will host activities in or outside their location from 4–7 p.m. including:
• Pet Adoption with Homeward Bound at Bone Adventure
• Doggies Portraits by Shelly Mossman Photography at Let’s Cook
• Doggie Foot Soaks at SPOT Spa Boutique
• Specials on Key West Aloe Doggie Shampoo at Key North
• Signature Liver Goodies and fall ’07 “Pets and Peeps” Collection at T Lee Jewelry
• Drawing for an Original Hand-Painted Pet Portrait by Irene and Mike Menasco at Artistic Indulgence
• Homemade Doggie Treats for Dogs and Puppy Chow for Human Companions at Let’s Cook
• Famous Hot Dog Stand at Surdyk’s
• Traditional Irish Music at Keegan’s Irish Pub
Free game cards will be distributed to all who attend Northeast Night. Once stamped by NEBA merchants, completed cards will be entered into a drawing for a $500 Northeast shopping spree.
