Hurrah! Hurrah! Applause! Applause! Let’s hear it for Neal E. Simons from Prospect Park, regarding his letter to the editor [about] the snow plow attachment … for clearing mounds of snow at the corners and the driveways.
Why? Well, on March 5, right after … the big snowstorm, I walked a total of 10 blocks to and from the bus stop at 31st Avenue South and East 25th Street in the street because I was not able to navigate the mounds of snow on the corners.

I was on the way to the doctor. How lucky I was to not get hit by a car and add a trip to the hospital!

[Simons’ letter] was good; I sent it to the City Council and [Ward 2 Council Member] Cam Gordon. Let’s hope serious consideration will be given to such a terrific resolution to a very serious problem.
